Did you know you can have a conversation with your body using Affirmations?

The conversation you have with your body starts with listening carefully to the way your body responds to what you say to it. If you say something positive to your body and you hear a, “yeah right!” negative response in your mind, your body doesn’t believe you.

Try it. Try saying, “My stomach is beautiful; it is strong toned and just right.”

What did you hear? Did you hear a negative?

Now, think about this. Your stomach houses your creativity and your knowing or “gut reaction. When you experience problems such as stomach cramps or a build up of extra weight on the abdomen, there is a blockage in your life. You may be feeling trapped, stuck or unable to move in or out of a certain situation. You may not be following your inner knowing. Or it may be a time of gestating new ideas, or waiting for the “right” moment. Discomfort in the abdomen may also be cause by fear that you are unable to move out of a certain situation. Fear is causing you to deny your Self. Denial is the blockage causing the pain (or weight).

 
You can’t get there from there.

There is a wonderful exercise in one of the major trainings – I can’t remember which one but I’ll be happy to have someone tell me. It addresses my admonition that you can’t get there from there.

It is absolutely essential for those of us who are building dreams to know where we are going, and be where we are.

If you continue to focus on the distant dream without taking care of the day-to-day details of your life, you can’t get to the dream. It will continue to drift in the future.

The exercise is:

Close your eyes. Visualize your dream. See every part of it. You may want to take pen and pencil and draw the dream, or describe it in writing.

Now visualize where you are today. Understand every part of where you are. Be specific. You can’t change what you don’t own.

Finally, create both images in the same frame. Attach a golden rubber band to where you are and your amazing future. Spend five minutes bringing yourself closer to your dream. (Do not bring your dream closer to you.)

Repeat this exercise at least once a day. As you visualize yourself moving closer to your dream, say to your subconscious mind, “What do I have to day today to realize my dream?”

Open your eyes. With your dominant hand (the one you usually write with) write, “What do I need to do today to achieve my dream?” Switch hands. Using your non-dominant hand, write the answer.
